They have just released their new single ‘Shut Your Mouth’ which addresses the serious topic of domestic abuse.
Frontwoman Taylor said “The track is about domestic abuse; the words are everything I wanted to say when my abuser was berating me. The build-up is meant to get people to start shouting ‘shut your mouth’ with the track when the final chorus hits. It’s meant to reignite the fire that victims feel has died when they escape domestic abuse and boost confidence.”
‘Shut Your Mouth’ opens with a powerful guitar riff which is shortly followed by Taylors outstanding vocals. From the offset the song creates a strong energy which sends a powerful message. The repeated lyrics of ‘shut your mouth’ shows a strong stance against abusers and tells abuse survivors they are not alone.
