Hailing from Warrington, Two Skies are a new indie- pop duo! If their debut single ‘Another Way’ is anything to go by this duo are set for a bright future. Two Skies are made up of Cal and Brad, they have definitely started the band with a BANG!
‘Another Way’ is the perfect indie – pop bop! It appears to tell the story of two lovers and the struggles they have faced throughout their relationship. Although the lyrics within the song tell a story of relationship struggles the music creates an amazing song that you can dance away to. I can already picture myself in a venue with a pint in hand dancing away without a care in the world.
The track opens with some lovely synths and guitar alongside the opening lyrics “Haven’t seen you in a while, did you get the job you had your eye on” allowing the listener to be introduced to the story the song tells.
‘Another Way’ then gradually builds up to the chorus. It has the perfect hook that will leave you singing the track hours after listening to it.
“I know you’ll find it hard to see me in another way,
I know you’ll find it hard to see me in some other way,
But that’s fine,
Take your time”
They lyrics leave the listener open to connecting with the story in whatever situation they have been through. The uplifting chorus takes the song to the next level and shows just how talented this duo are.
Overall, this is high up on my favourite releases on 2021 so far! Two Skies have a massive amount of potential and I can’t wait to see them play live and release more music. They play RivFest in Warrington on Sunday 8th August so if you are in the area make sure you get along to it.
