Single Review: Brí – More Than

The beauty of Irish artist Brí’s musicianship lies in her ability to combine hypnotic melodies with stunningly angelic, yet haunting, vocals. Her new single More Than displays her exceptionally high standard of artistry, both musically and lyrically.

More Than is reminiscent of work from artists such as Lana Del Rey, Marina and Annie Lennox. We are lured in by Brí’s enchanting vocals, which are given complete freedom to roam through the track due to the minimalist musical accompaniment. There is a steady confidence in Brí’s lyrics as she poetically describes a feeling of longing to live outside of the norm. Her lyrics discuss the mundane repetitiveness of life that we have been experiencing of late in a way that encourages reflection rather than sadness or anger.

Brí’s previous releases have led to a growing fan-base in Ireland. However, judging by the unique quality of music and the creative talent that she presents in More Than, it will not be long until she experiences an equal level of popularity both here in the United Kingdom and worldwide.

More Than will be released on the 19th March 2021. Keep up with Brí through her socials:
