It’s been another fabulous week of releases…. check out our favourites below.
Recommendation 1: Borrowed Sparks – Patron Saint

The long anticipated wait for Nashville’s very own punk rock band, Borrowed Sparks album, The Prettiest One Left is finally over and we can confirm it was worth the wait. Our favourite track, Patron Saint takes listeners in a different direction showing a more emotional side to the band. The intriguing lyrics sucks fans in from the offset and does not let them go. Think Brian Fallon meets Springsteen. With captivating acoustics and powerful vocals, Patron Saint is certainly a track you need to check out!
Recommendation 2 : Vegan Leather – Sanctum Sound

Paisley art-pop outfit, Vegan Leather’s latest track, Sanctum Sound is an absolute banger! With it’s psychedelic synths and groovy bassline, this funky pop anthem should be on everyone’s playlist… Think Hot Chip meets The XX. Gianluca Bernacchi and Marie Collins’ vocals fuse together creating this incredible additive melody. Definitely a Friday night party beat, you do not want to miss!
Recommendation 3: Chisel Chin – Panorama

The debut single, Panorama from brand new psychedelic rock band, Chisel Chin is here and we can’t get enough! The hypnotising melody soars perfectly with the lead vocalist peculiar voice. Think Joy Division meets Tame Impala. There’s something really different about Chisel Chin that makes them stand out from the crowd and after hearing Panorama it won’t be long until they’re everyone’s favourite new band!
Recommendation 4: Foot Squeaker – Specimen

Rock and roll trio, Foot Squeaker are back at it again with their brand new single, Specimen and if you are a fan of classic rock you will love it! Think Foo Fighters meets Pearl Jam… certainly a band made to perform their music live! Specimen stands out from the crowd with it’s unique range of guitar hooks and stadium choruses. Don’t waste anymore time…. check it out now!
Recommendation 5: Lauren Bird – Millennials

Northern Irish folk singer songwriter, Lauren Bird takes listeners on a journey about the common anxieties faced as a millennial in her new single. With the delicate vocals colliding along with the vibrant melodies, Millennials is certainly a track that will have you hooked. The lyrics especially are honest and real which I’m sure most people can relate to: ‘we know our phones will probably kill us but it’s the only way to speak to everyone that’s gone away’. That millennial addiction of not being able to live without a phone and the idea of not being able to communicate with people without it speaks volumes within our society today. This is the first time I’ve listened to Lauren’s music but it certainly won’t be the last!
