I’ve been a big fan of Sienne ever since I heard their debut track ‘Where Is Home?’ back in February! There debut track was premiered at the Liverpool vs Manchester United game setting standards high for the band instantly. It absolutely blew me away and I’ve been listening to Sienne ever since as they’ve produced banger after banger within a couple of months. They have just released ‘Side By Side’ and it’s fair to say the new tune lives up to the bands high standards. The four piece indie rock band are made up of; Calan Nickle, James Rookyard, Richard Taylor and Charlie Skeggs.
Since the release of ‘Side By Side’ I have played it non stop! The band convey deep emotions throughout the song showing passion and vulnerability. With every song the band have released I have been amazed by their song writing skills and I’m exactly the same with ‘Side By Side’.
The track starts off slowly emphasising Calan’s meaningful lyrics and then gradually introduces more instruments growing into the perfect indie rock hit! The lyrics ‘”Side by side” echo throughout the song making it easy for fans to learn and belt it out. I can’t wait to see this track played live and sing it at the top of my lungs!

I’m desperate to see Sienne live! I’m counting down the days till gigs can go ahead so I can travel down south to see them (or maybe they can come up to Glasgow!). Although I’ve been desperate to see the band live they’ve been keeping fans entertained during lockdown by releasing lockdown covers and playing the Liverpool Digital Music Festival. Personally, my favourite was a cover of David Bowie’s classic ‘Life On Mars?’. I used to listen to this song all the time when I was younger and Sienne have 110% done it justice, their whole production and video editing skills make it stand out to be one of my favourite lockdown covers yet!
I can’t wait to see what is next for Sinenne. Keep up to date with their social media here:
