THE MUSIC FILES FAVOURITE TRACK: Nine Lives. Right from the get-go, this track pulls listeners in with it’s punchy drums, rhythmic guitar hooks and a beautiful blend of harmonies. Nine Lives was the first Primes track that I listened to which instantly left an impression on me. The uniqueness of the track separates them from just another rock band – they have this fresh, exciting presence surrounding themselves throughout the track and it’s refreshing to hear.
WHY ARE WE DIGGIN THEM? Energetic, infectious guitar hooks, strong powerful vocals and addictive drum beats, Primes provide the essential sound for the ultimate live setting. They made quite the name for themselves last year and they’re latest single, Moment proves they’re just going to keep getting bigger and bigger!

CAREER AS TOLD BY THE BAND: ‘We have been a band since November 2017 and started gigging in March 2018. So far we have released 8 Single Releases and 1 acoustic version of a track. We have had a total of 73k Spotify streams and been added to several playlists including an editorial Spotify playlist (Scotify). We have had unbelievable support from radio play such as BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio and numerous online radios which we now receive daily plays. One of which, we received an award for being band of the year 2019 (Radio Wigwam). We reached number 1 in the Scottish New Music Global Charts with our Single “Nine Lives”. We have been Jim Gellatly’s (Amazing Radio & Sun Newspaper) track of the day 3 times and also been featured in his New Music Column in The Scottish Sun Newspaper and we are also self managed’
GIG HIGHLIGHTS AS TOLD BY THE BAND: ‘Our debut show was at King Tuts in March 2018 and we have played all over the Scottish scene since then. We have played our hometown 3 times and each time it’s been sold out. Festivals such as Party At The Palace, ButeFest, Gig In The Goil, Vibration Festival, King Tuts Summer Nights and Rewind Festival. We have supported Red Rum Club x4, Vintage Caravan, Vistas, BMX Bandits, Voodoos and Lucia and the best boys.
We also done a tour last year with dates in Falkirk, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee, Aberdeen, Inverness and we stepped into England for the first time with dates in Newcastle, Liverpool and Manchester.‘
