Single Review: Carousel – Feeling

After several months of keeping it to themselves, Dundee indie-rock four-piece Carousel have decided that now is the right time to share their new track Feeling with fans.

And what a treat it is.

Since forming in 2016, Carousel have successfully established themselves as one of the most exciting up and coming acts in Scotland.

Feeling is further evidence of Carousel’s ability to create fresh, original music and in this song, we are handed an example of a more intimate side to this music.

The track is built solely upon piano, acoustic guitar and vocals. This minimalist combination is what leaves the track exposed and raw.

Yet, the haunting piano which lingers throughout, and Bradley Kennedy’s impassioned vocals, are what makes Feeling a truly moving and gripping song.

For those of us right now who are feeling uncertain and afraid regarding the future, Feeling may offer a couple of minutes of solace to reflect upon our emotions and be conscious of our own personal situation, and feelings.
