Have a read below to find out what albums he has been listening to on repeat throughout the lockdown…

Album 1: THE STONE ROSES – SALLY CINNAMON EP

Why did it make the list? Sally Cinnamon one my all time favourite songs – always gets a crowd going! We sang it every night on stage with Kyle Falconer when me and Mike ward put on Kyle’s first solo tour of Scotland on back in May 2016.

Favourite Track: Sally Cinnamon

Album 2: DIRE STRAITS – BROTHERS IN ARMS

Why did it make the list? My big brother John who’s 9 year older got me into dire straights as a young boy and love the build up to one of the most epic guitar rifts of all time… which I reproduced everything as a kid playing air guitar..

Favourite Track: Money For Nothing

Album 3: THE VIEW – HATS OFF FOR THE BUSKERS

Why did it make the list? Well I’ve been best mates with all the boys from The View since 2006 when they came out to play Ibiza rocks which I was head of security. There was this holiday maker that tried to jump on The View tour bus after the boys came off the stage and all he was shouting was Superstar Tradesman chorus I had to quickly escort well literally throw him off the bus… We talk about it from time to time with the boys so when I hear that song played it always takes me back to early days and amazing memories of me living in Ibiza where the live long friendship with the band started. Well what can I say the album is one my all time favourites.

Favourite Track: Superstar Tradesman

Album 4: MICHAEL JACKSON – BAD

Why did it make the list? Michael Jackson no matter what people may say about him, he was the king of pop and always will be.. this album is still amazing to put on and play today as it was when I first went into Virgin Megastore in Aberdeen and stood in a queue to buy it… I have a signed cap from the man himself which I got from very good colleague in the close protection security business, who got me the hat while looking after Michael at his London This Is It tour while Michael was doing rehearsals for what would have been his biggest ever run of shows which sadly as we all know never happened due to his death in 2009…

Favourite Track: Smooth Criminal

Album 5 – THE BEATLES -THE WHITE ALBUM

Why did it make the list? Beatles…. I’m Beatles daft.. even my two Chinese shar-pei dogs are named after The Beatles.. Ringo & Pepper.. Went to see Sir Paul McCartney with Kyle Falconer, Billy Mitchell and Michael Ward in Glasow SECC as part of his Freshen up tour in 2019. I managed to get a denim jacket from his merchandise, my ticket and guitar chord book all signed a few months later again thanks to a good friend in the close protection security team.. but that song played by Prince, Tom Petty, Steve Winwood, Jeff Lynne and others perform “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” at the 2004 Hall of Fame is one my favourite renditions of this amazing song. RIP George Harrison and Prince.

Favourite Track: While My Guitar Gently Weeps

BONUS ALBUM – SOUND OF GUNS -ANGELS AND ENEMIES

Why did it make the list? I got to know the boys really well after they supported The View in 2012 when they released this album. It was also the year, The View nearly brought the tent down at the last ever Rockness. As it was so packed for their set on the Saturday so they got asked to perform main stage on the Sunday and blew the crowd away! Sound of guns played also and the crowd couldn’t get enough of them. Andy metcalf, the lead singer’s crowd surfing was memorable!

Favourite Track: Sometimes
