Find out what Scott’s top lockdown albums are below…
Album 1: Dreams of Freedom: Ambient Translations of Bob Marley in Dub – Bob Marley & The Wailers

Why did it make the list? This is one for being flat-out horizontal. Probably the most relaxing album I’ve ever heard. Love blasting it in headphones & drifting off. Guaranteed to combat the stress & anxiety of watching the news right now!
Favourite Track: “Rebel Music (3 O’clock Road Block)”
Album 2: Spilt Milk – Jellyfish

Why did it make the list? One of the best pop albums of all time – up there with “Sgt. Pepper” or “Rumours”. It never got the recognition it deserved because it came out at the same time Grunge was just kicking off across the pond. It’s a real shame because the songs, harmonies & arrangements are the closest thing to “genius” you can get. It always puts me in a good mood.
Favourite Track: “New Mistake”
Album 3: BBC In Session – The La’s

Why did it make the list? Another band that could have been the biggest on the planet. It’s a real shame there was only ever one studio album, but I completely respect Lee Mavers’ reasons for walking away from it all. I really love the energy of these tracks because they’re live & raw.
Favourite Track: “Timeless Melody”
Album 4: Sun Structures – Temples

Why did it make the list? One of my favourite bands & albums from the last decade. The melodies are interesting and the production is flawless. It’s so inspiring to know that it was all recorded in a bedroom. It could have been recorded in Abbey Road in 1969.
Favourite track: “Shelter Song”
Album 5: Super Ape – Lee “Scratch” Perry

Why did it make the list? This is another album for a sunny day. Whether you have a garden or are only able to look out the window just now, it will hopefully raise your spirits.
Favourite Track: “Black Vest”
