Edinburgh indie pop band, Go To Girl have had quite the year already with the release of their latest single, ‘Honestly’, supporting KilgrVston at The Caves and being announced for this year’s Stag and Dagger in Edinburgh…
Have a read below to find out what albums they cannot get through the lockdown without…
MIKE’S CHOICE: Dutty Moonshine Big Band – ‘Most Wanted’
WHY: Awesome mix of Funk, Swing, Electro and Dubstep to keep the spirits high.
FAVOURITE TRACKS: ‘Distillin’
ANNA’S CHOICE: Fleetwood Mac – ‘Rumours’
WHY: I just love it, it’s got a nice variety of happy dance around your kitchen in your pants songs and more moody numbers too. A good mix for keeping yourself mentally balanced in lock down!
FAVOURITE TRACKS: ‘Never Going Back Again’ & ‘Gold Dust Woman’
ANGUS‘ CHOICE: Netsky – ‘3’
WHY: I started listening to this album when this all started and it just gets me pumped up for bike riding or running, a great workout album.
FAVOURITE TRACKS: ‘Thunder’ feat. Emeli Sande
AMY’S CHOICE: Sigrid – ‘Sucker Punch’
WHY: Upbeat pop vibes to bop around the house too. She’s got such a gorgeous voice and writes amazing lyrics too. There’s a song for every mood on there and every song is a belter.
FAVOURITE TRACKS: ‘Don’t Kill My Vibe’ & ‘Basic’
THE BAND’S CHOICE: Red Hot Chili Peppers – ‘Blood Sugar Sex Magik’
WHY: Individually we all grew up listening to RHCP so it’s a fair bit due to the nostalgia factor but you can’t deny that sweet funk.
Mike – ‘Mellowship Slinky in B Major’
Amy – ‘Give It Away’ because it’s my karaoke song!
Angus – ‘I Could Have Lied’ is just such an underrated song, love the riff behind it and mellow vibe to it.
Anna – ‘Blood Sugar Sex Magik’
