Today’s guest is the wonderful Katie Lockhart who runs The 1925 Community Club, a quirky venue located in Fife that hosts many gigs for local upcoming bands. Katie also recently started up PPG Promotions alongside Katie McBride and Zoe Montgomery and we can’t wait to see what incredible gigs they’ll put on for us in the future!
Album 1: Darklands – The Jesus and Mary chain.

Why did it make the list? I chose this because it’s just a brilliant album. Loved it for a few years and never get sick of it. It’s an absolute classic in my eyes!
My favourite track on this album is “April Skies” I loved it the first time I heard it and I still love it today. Has to be listened to at maximum volume though!
Album 2: Rumours- Fleetwood Mac

Why did it make the list? This album is probably my favourite album ever. It’s a timeless classic. One of the best albums ever written in my eyes. There’s not one bad song on it, it’s definitely stood the rest of time.
“Go your own way” and “second hand news” are two of my favourite tracks! Saying that it is hard to pick a few favourites when you love every song on the album.
Album 3: Is this it – The Strokes

Why did it make the list? This album has a lot of sentimental value for me. One of the first albums I truly loved as a teenager. I still listen to it regularly today. Every song reminds me of being young, and care free happy times. Love that!
“Someday” reminds me of summertime and my pals so with that said that’s definitely a favourite track from it. “The modern age” and “New York city cops” too. Brilliant songs!
Album 4: Born in the USA – Bruce Springsteen

Why did it make the list? I chose this album because I am absolutely in love with the boss right now! His music is just amazing! I’ve been listening to a lot of his music recently. Reminds me of my friend Dougie and his jam sesh in the 1925 club. Us all being in our element and singing “I’m on fire” terribly!
With that said “I’m on fire” is one of my fave tracks on it. “Glory days” and “dancing in the dark” too. Great songs! Purely because they’re absolute toe tappers haha.
Album 5: Big Country – The Crossing

Why did it make the list? I was brought up listening to this band and still love them to this day. One of the best bands Scotland has seen! They’re a firm favourite in our household! This album is one of my favourites.
Favourite tracks on the album are “in a big country” of course! “Chance”, “inwards” and “fields of fire” again another album that’s almost Impossible to pick a few favourite songs from! A brilliant album that just reminds me of good times.
