After seeing False Friends live in March (one of my last gigs I attended pre corona may I add) I have been extremely in love with them , not to mention their single ‘Rebuild’ is constantly spinning on my sad playlist. The indie outfit are a breath of fresh air to Scotland’s diverse indie scene and their newest single “Dress Like A Tourist” just builds on my adoration for them.

From the get go their new track , grabs you in with an anthemic guitar line that deserves a packed venue chanting along with it .There is a stand out moment in the track where it drops down to just Anna , the synth player and vocalist , which is absolutely gorgeous and on first listen absolutely took my breath away and it will take yours away too.

The track , produced and recorded with Scotty Anderson at Magic Box in Dundee , explores identity and the navigation of trying to fit in but finding the solace and confidence in standing out , the headbanger of a chorus explores this phenomenally asking you to simply “preach for yourself” because “no one else matters”
