THE MUSIC FILES FAVOURITE TRACK: ‘Strange To Translation’. This single is part of their debut EP release, ‘The Waters Edge’ and is a incredibly strong opener. A unique blend of quirky guitar riffs, punchy drum beats and captivating lyrics, ‘Strange to Translation’ is the perfect song to highlight the true raw talent of Nocturnal Coast.

WHY ARE WE DIGGIN THEM?  Slick, sharp and smooth, the band create the type of music that instantly pulls you in… the first time I heard them I convinced it was a side project from Alex Turner! Catchy, addictive beats that will leave you wanting more.

Front man, Luke Saleh Saunders

THE MUSIC FILES FAVOURITE LYRICS:Retaliating to the music, telling the DJ not to use it, if I ask him one more time I’m sure he’d probably lose it‘ (In The Jac, Nov 2019). I’m sure I’m not the only one that can relate to these lyrics… I’m a nightmare for requesting songs to DJs when I’ve had a few wines and this song reminds me of just that. The song was written about The Jacaranda Club in Liverpool, a place I’m yet to still experience but after hearing this song I’ll be checking it out next time I’m in the city.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: The band are proud of having ’Strange To Translation being played on BBC Introducing, the release of our Debut EP ’The Waters Edge’, their headline show in June 2019 for the EP and recording ‘In The Jac’ at the famous Motor Museum Studio.

GIG HIGHLIGHTS: Supporting Good Cop Bad Cop in Liverpool, Playing Tramlines festival, Playing Liverpool Calling Festival, Headlining Phase One, and The Zanzibar Club in Liverpool and supporting The Jackobins!
